Limonite ore is very common in nature. Limonite magnetic separation machine is one of the most frequently used magnetic separators. The most frequently used mineral processing process mainly includes ore grinding, gravity separation, reverse flotation.

1. Ore grinding

Send raw ore into ball mill and grind to 200 mesh. The pulp density is 50% to 60%. Then through the spiral classifier overflow into the 200 mesh high-frequency vibration sieve. The sieved pulp density is adjusted to 20% to 25%. And the unscreened mineral particles will be returned for re-grinding.

2. Gravity separation

a. Roughing: de-slime the ore slurry. Adjust the ore pulp density exhausted from the concentrate mouth and middling mouth to 15% to 25% and enter into the concentration procedure. Discharge the slime on the spiral chute's outer edge together with part of tailings into the tailings pond.

b. Concentrating: de-slime and concentrate the ore pulp. Re-adjust the ore pulp density exhausted from the concentrate mouth and middling mouth to 15% to 25% and enter into the second concentration. Discharge the slime on the spiral chute's outer edge together with part of tailings into the tailings pond.

c. The secondary concentration: de-slime and refine the ore pulp once again. Adjust the ore pulp density exhausted from the concentrate mouth and middling mouth to 15% to 25% and enter into the reverse flotation step.

3. Reverse flotation

After adjusting the ore pulp density properly, add 100g/t to 200g/t inhibitor and 100g/t to150g/t collector and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Under the conditions of room temperature and pH=7, conduct reverse flotation for 10 to 12 minutes. Then we will get high-grade limonite concentrate.
